ON THE ROPE

Dagestan used to be the land of tightrope walkers. Today, the mountain villages are deserted. Young people are moving to the cities, where there is work and comfort. Only a few are still interested in tradition. Kamil is one of them. He works in construction during the day and in the evening he dances on a tightrope in front of tourists. Kamil loves tightrope walking and wants to revive the tradition. To do so, he travels back in time and visits his old tightrope walking teacher Ramazan in his home village of Tsovkra in the Caucasus. And from there to an international festival for tightrope walkers. Will the journey bring him closer to his goal?
