KENYA'S FIRST RANGERS

Leah and Purity are rangers. Daily they cross 25 kilometres through the Kenyan bushveld to track down wild animals. Their area of operation is around Amboseli National Park. This is also where the Maasai herdsmen have their villages. Conflicts between humans and wild animals occur in this area. Then the young women are called out to mediate the situation or comfort the people. The young Maasai women have a hard time in life themselves - because they are fighting against discrimination. In their culture, only men do paid work. It is a story about two women who fight for coexistence between humans and animals and gain their personal independence in the process.
